Can't it just rain

Why can't it just rain.. and not pour?

It has been a whirlwind with my tonsils. I grew up with non stop strep, as I got older it was tonsillitis, infections and food getting stuck in them. Pretty much determined that people born in my birth year range rarely had their tonsils out. I was planning this past spring to have them finally removed, but wanted to wait until the house was done. I had it scheduled for mid October. Due to the doctor on medical leave it was pushed to November 4th. Needless to say a long story short - if he would have done my surgery and I would have had bleeding issues he was not allowed to go to the Aspirus hospital. He was also still on medical leave by the 4th, so I said enough is enough and I ended up changing doctors. I was able to get into Dr. Weddle with ENT associates on Tuesday this past week and she already had me in for surgery this past Thursday. She is such a kind, caring, compassionate doctor. I am so fortunate to have found her. so on Thursday I went in for surgery and we thought everything was going well and were discarded and sent home by 3:30pm. Later that evening I started to bleed and Chris call the on-call doctor. Dr. Voss was also very compassionate, worked with us over the phone for 15 min and determined I needed to go to the ER. Thankfully the hospital is within a 5 min drive for us. When we arrived he had already called to let them know I would be coming. He too was wonderful. He was able to suction out a blood clot that formed and cauterize it. 2 hours and we were on our way home. Aspirus did a phenomenal job of caring for me. I was very pleased with how everyone was so helpful and caring. I was previously told that tonsil bleeds in an adult is a huge deal. Now I really understood what they meant. On the way home Chris and I talked about how grateful we were that I switched doctors.. knowing our previous doctor would not have been able to meet me in the ER. We always said everything happens for a reason. Surly it does. God was definitely watching over us and answering our prayers.
Saturday I was feeling pretty good so today (Sunday) we decided to run out for a bit and pick up a few things. We were in the car with Zak (he is such a great helper). I took a sip of water and it felt like something broke loose, all of a sudden my mouth was filled with blood. Straight to the ER we went...so much for smoothie mix.  Dr. Weddle was on call and met us their right away. She told me this time I would need to go to the OR. With in 30 minutes of arriving I was in the OR. They were not kidding when they say quick. If there is anything "neat" that can come out of this. One of the kids nurses also works in the ER and she was working and was able to assist with my cares. Once again everyone was wonderful from check-in, ER, OR and recovery, and of course the doctor. I am so grateful we found Dr. Weddle.

On top of my "issues" Zak had the flu the first part of the week, Callie currently has it and Chris woke up with a cold on Thursday morning. Zak is doing much better. He is back to his crazy self. Callie's poor tushy looks terrible. It has been getting aired out, but it just does not look good. Chris is also starting to feel better.
