SANTA

All I want for Christmas...

Zak says... All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth :)
He lost another front tooth.. that makes 3 on the top row.

All I want for Christmas is two healthy kids. Zak has another cold.. Callie has strep. She has never had it before. She just got over a flu bug. We went to the clinic to have her ears checked and she had strep. Poor little girl. Hopefully by Sunday they will both be feeling better.

Can't it just rain

Why can't it just rain.. and not pour?

It has been a whirlwind with my tonsils. I grew up with non stop strep, as I got older it was tonsillitis, infections and food getting stuck in them. Pretty much determined that people born in my birth year range rarely had their tonsils out. I was planning this past spring to have them finally removed, but wanted to wait until the house was done. I had it scheduled for mid October. Due to the doctor on medical leave it was pushed to November 4th. Needless to say a long story short - if he would have done my surgery and I would have had bleeding issues he was not allowed to go to the Aspirus hospital. He was also still on medical leave by the 4th, so I said enough is enough and I ended up changing doctors. I was able to get into Dr. Weddle with ENT associates on Tuesday this past week and she already had me in for surgery this past Thursday. She is such a kind, caring, compassionate doctor. I am so fortunate to have found her. so on Thursday I went in for surgery and we thought everything was going well and were discarded and sent home by 3:30pm. Later that evening I started to bleed and Chris call the on-call doctor. Dr. Voss was also very compassionate, worked with us over the phone for 15 min and determined I needed to go to the ER. Thankfully the hospital is within a 5 min drive for us. When we arrived he had already called to let them know I would be coming. He too was wonderful. He was able to suction out a blood clot that formed and cauterize it. 2 hours and we were on our way home. Aspirus did a phenomenal job of caring for me. I was very pleased with how everyone was so helpful and caring. I was previously told that tonsil bleeds in an adult is a huge deal. Now I really understood what they meant. On the way home Chris and I talked about how grateful we were that I switched doctors.. knowing our previous doctor would not have been able to meet me in the ER. We always said everything happens for a reason. Surly it does. God was definitely watching over us and answering our prayers.
Saturday I was feeling pretty good so today (Sunday) we decided to run out for a bit and pick up a few things. We were in the car with Zak (he is such a great helper). I took a sip of water and it felt like something broke loose, all of a sudden my mouth was filled with blood. Straight to the ER we went...so much for smoothie mix.  Dr. Weddle was on call and met us their right away. She told me this time I would need to go to the OR. With in 30 minutes of arriving I was in the OR. They were not kidding when they say quick. If there is anything "neat" that can come out of this. One of the kids nurses also works in the ER and she was working and was able to assist with my cares. Once again everyone was wonderful from check-in, ER, OR and recovery, and of course the doctor. I am so grateful we found Dr. Weddle.

On top of my "issues" Zak had the flu the first part of the week, Callie currently has it and Chris woke up with a cold on Thursday morning. Zak is doing much better. He is back to his crazy self. Callie's poor tushy looks terrible. It has been getting aired out, but it just does not look good. Chris is also starting to feel better.

We have moved!!!

We moved on Saturday into the new house. It was a long weekend, but well worth it. The kids seem to be adapting very well. Callie really likes the cork floors. She like to rub her forehead on them. Zak enjoys walking around the house in his gait trainer since he can finally move around. We had our first family dinner at the table already on Saturday night. We were busy moving things the past few weeks as we would get things packed so the move on Saturday was mainly the big items. Soon I will take some more pictures and add them

Dining room

Tonight was trick-or-treating for the kids. We always take them to a few houses each year.. the same few. This was by far the best they have been for halloween. They were so good getting in and out and visiting new house. I was so proud of them both. They were both ladybugs.

Surgery, Sick Kids, Smiles....

It has been a crazy few weeks.

Callie had surgery on her eye. It feel a little over a month ago and they had to fix it again. I was suppose to have tonsil surgery, however it was pushed out two weeks as the doctor is out. In the mean time we have been busy moving boxes to the new house. We move a few loads and unpack. At least this way it has not been too stressful trying to do it all in one day. We just have our beds, living room and all the kids medical stuff left. We are suppose to have the inspection tomorrow so moving is not far off.

Callie had surgery a week ago. Everything when great and she is seeing well again.
This is Callie with her eye marked before surgery.

Recovery.. she is still sleeping here. Now she sleeps with her eye partially open.

Zak was starting to get sick..feel asleep playing.

Happy as can be.. BIG smiles

So tired. Callie was tired feel asleep on the floor. Zak snuggled up tight. So cute.

The patio is in at the new house. I LOVE IT
