Happy Easter... Update On Callie.. a Special Thank you ..How to help

A little of everything for this post :)

Where do the weeks go? I find myself asking this a lot lately. I honestly keep forgetting it is Easter weekend, it just seems like the days are passing so quickly. Happy Easter to Everyone. We will be staying in Wausau this year (as we typically do). We will be on the Mountain at 6am for Church. St. Andrews always does a sunrise service on the top of Rib Mountain every Easter. It is absolutely gorgeous! It is my second favorite service (Christmas being my favorite). Granted when it is a cold year I may not say that, but there is just something about having a service watching the sun come up that is so peaceful and relaxing. Everyone has their flashlights trying to find a place to sit and by the end of service it is bright out. I feel like a little kid trying to get to the car as fast as I can after service to warm up and then off to church for breakfast.

Callie is sick again! I am hoping it is just a cold. She is wheezing a little so she is back on nebulizer treatments and a little oxygen when she sleeps. We cannot give her antibiotics for a LONG time as she keeps getting c-diff (nasty stomach issues that results in major poops for weeks and weeks ). We started her on steroid treatments hoping to avoid pneumonia. Saying our prayers to get healthy soon and all the germs to go away! (no she will not be on the Mountain with us.. nor will Zak. Grandma will stay at home with them)

A special thank you to Rick Muzzy on 97.9 http://www.979wspt.com/ He has been interviewing members of the Build from the Heart Team every Thursday morning to provide updates and awareness for the project. TUNE IN! I had the opportunity to talk with him this week and was interviewed. We will be taping a promo in the next few weeks that he will run for us. THANK YOU RICK!

We are still trying to reach our goal of $100,000 which will cover the expenses of the community room. (Actually 3 rooms – Play room, Living room and Kitchenette) If you are interested in donating to the Build from the Heart you can do this at any River Valley Bank location. All checks should be written to Noah’s Never Ending Rainbow with Build from the Heart in the memo line.

Also, if you are interested in helping or participating with the community room once we get moved in please e-mail me at cateeters@charter.net and I will add you to the list of contact.

Dirt Drifters and Tuscan Road Concert

We had the Dirt Drifters and Tuscan Road concert at Dale's Weston Lanes. It was absolutely AMAZING! Zak and I were able to go to an acoustic lunch with the Dirt Drifters. What an amazing talented group of guys! I cannot say enough great things. If you like country and they are in your area I strongly recommend you see them! They will be in the Dells at the end of May. Too bad it is a Thursday night or we would be there! You can check out there new video: http://www.cmt.com/videos/the-dirt-drifters/643502/something-better.jhtml  Tuscan Road, a local band from Steven's Point opened. I had heard great things about the band, however never listened to them. They were also AMAZING. What great voices!

A special Thank you to the Dirt Drifters and Tuscan Road for supporting such a Great cause and playing at the event for us; WDEZ for all the planning, broadcasting, lunch and commitment in helping with the fundraiser; Dale's Weston Lanes for hosting the event; The whole Build from the Heart Team (River Valley Bank, Noah's Never Ending Rainbow, Family and Friends) for helping to plan the event. Everyone really cam together for such a wonderful event. We are very grateful for all the help to make this event happen.

Progress

It has been a while since I last blogged.. sorry for the lack of updates.

At the end of March I was in Madison to learn about advocacy. I was there with about 50 other advocates. We learned how to express our message and then met with our legislators. It was an amazing experience. I am so glad I had the opportunity to attend.

Both kids have been doing well. Callie just had a check up on Friday and her lungs are starting to look better. What great news to hear. We go back to Madison at the beginning on May to follow up with Pulmonology again. Callie has been having some stomach issues again. She has c-diff again, but is being treated so we are hoping it will get better soon.

Zak recently had a birthday. He turned 6 on March 31st. It is so hard to believe how big he is getting. I really have no idea where the time has gone. He is such a happy little boy and adores his little sister. They play so nice together, except for when he likes to take off her socks and bite her toes.

Grandma brought him a birthday cookie.. he thought that was great!

Callie discovered the Jumpy. Zak has been giving her lessons. It is so cute to watch them jump together!

Daddy and Zak - he is definitely our cuddle boy. Not to mention he loves to smile for the camera

Everything has been going great at the house. We had 2 volunteer days and got all of the painting done. Also we had a volunteer come forward that wanted to help with all of our tile! We have been very grateful through this whole process. We truly have an amazing community around us.
