Painting in the Community Room

The majority of the painting is done in the community room. Leanne with Inspire has been busy painting. I absolutely Love it. We knew we wanted shapes, but I never imagined it would be this wonderful.

This is the saying above the changing table. When I saw this I knew it was the one. This just fits the community room and means so much to us as so many people have made this dream a reality and will continue to have an impact on many other families.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

Callie's Bedroom

I packed Callie's old bedroom a week ago. I love her current bedroom so it was hard to pack everything. On Monday Leanne Meyer with Inspire painted Callie's new bedroom. Now I cannot wait to get all of her new things in the house. This is simply AMAZING. I wish I had half of this talent. I have enjoyed working with her so much and cannot wait to see what else she does. Today she will start on the community room.

House Pictures - Both

Pictures of the OLD house. This is what Chris built. We had to replace the septic system as it no longer met the code for us to sell. We had a retaining wall that was not looking so good anymore so Chris replaced it. Him and his dad finished the landscaping around it. LOVE IT!

Flooring in the Community room. It is DONE! There is still a film on it so it looks more white. I will have some new pics once it is all cleaned!

The kids bathroom flooring. This finished yesterday. All of the flooring is complete!

It is hard to believe we are this far along. We do not have a move in date yet, but Soon is what we tell everyone.

A new week

Last week could not end soon enough. First the colds and yuck, which lead to double ear infections with both kids. Thursday was a day of ups and downs. It started with Zak getting an ear infection. Thankfully we did not have to go into the clinic. When he gets them they drain so bad it is obvious he has one. Then Callie was off to the Clinic where she picked up her Stander. Thank you to Children's Miracle Network for purchasing it for Callie. So far she seems to like it. Then she went to her neurology appointment for her sleep Apnea and they were happy to see how well she is doing. She actually wears her mask when she sleeps and all of the reports looked good. Thursday night we took the whole family (Chris, Annie, Zak, Callie, Grandma, Bumpa, Aunt Judy, Uncle Kenny and Cousin Angie) to the North Central Health Care pool. The kids did amazing. They are both little fish! We spent an hour there. It was so nice. When we got home I was playing with Callie and I suddenly noticed.. her eye! The surgery she had at 6mo old snapped. She has 3 little stitches that hold her eye lid up. They broke. So now she has one eye lid that remains almost closed all the time. I was able to talk to the clinic on Friday and She will go in this Tuesday. Talk about a Rollercoaster day.

The flooring is moving along at the house. It is AMAZING. I just love it! It will be completed tomorrow. Then trim and plumbing. I am slacking on pictures so I will get some this week. The next post will probably be a ton of pictures :)

Sick House

School has started, Fall is here and the colds have settled in. Zak did wonderful at school last week. He has the same teacher and room as last year so that does help with the transition. He will have two new therapists though. I am anxious to meet them and see what new ideas they have for us to work on.

The weather has been cooler, although it is nice when working outside. However the mix of school and weather brings germs. Callie has a double ear infection and a small cold. She seems to deal with it fairly well. Zak got a full blown nasty cold Friday night. Temp of 101.3-101.8 all weekend. Just miserable. Snot brings loose stools so it was a mess at our house this weekend. Poor kids. Of course our kids are so loving and want to share everything with everyone. Some of our nurses also have colds along with Mom and Dad. First go around of the season, welcome back hand sanitizer.

Chris and his Dad (well a tiny tiny bit of me too) finished the landscaping, for the most part, in the back yard at our Old house. We had a new septic system put in which means we needed to fix the yard. If there is one thing I have learned about being a home owner it is one project leads to 10 more and you never get done what you tried to start :) I will post pics soon. They did a wonderful job. Chris built a new retaining wall/steps as the old one was rotten and needed to be fixed. The edging, rocks and plants were all replaced in that area. The dirt was spread and seed was planted. There is a small area of dirt still so we can get the trailer in the back yard and move our big stuff before we seed.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor day.
