So Much Going on

There has been so much going on I just have not sat down and blogged. WOW where does the time go?
Well all of the illness is out of the home. Both kids are Healthy! Now we just need to get through allergy season :) They have been having some ear issues. They both see the doctors this week to see if we can get some answers.
Zak is finishing up Kindergarten. His last day is June 7th. It is hard to believe he will be in first grade next year.

The house has been moving along. I LOVE the cabinets. I like to sit in the living room and look at the kitchen. We are getting excited to see everything coming together. The mason work should be finishing up soon on the fireplace. The trim will start and then the flooring. We are very grateful for all the wonderful people helping to make this happen.

Last week we had a fundraiser at the Local Speedway "State Park Speedway". $1 of every ticket was donated to the community room as we are still trying to raise $100,000!! We also did a 50/50 raffle! To top it all off Zak's name was drawn from the kids raffle and he was able to pick a car off the board. He choose the brightest Car of course (the pink one) and he won $1!

What else is going on in the Teeters house? Well, I was able to get away for a night and went to Minocqua for a bachelorette party for Jessica B.. one of my close friends. She is tying the knot in June.
This weekend we had our Best Friends from MN in town. Chris and Tay the oldest boy were able to get out for a day and go to the shooting range. We are still hearing stories who shot better. In the end they both had a blast and that is all that matters!
Today was spent running errands, planting the gardern, yard work and starting to pack.

You name it we had it

YUCK! A week of germs, you name it we had it.Both kids woke up on Monday with colds. They both had a fever. Tuesday I woke up, going on two weeks of being sick with a cold and felt terrible. Thinking I was going to work the day from home and would feel better. By 10 I felt terrible and decided a trip to walk in was much needed. Also, Callie woke that morning with one cheek HOT, red and puffy. I knew it was time for us both to get checked out. I also had a nasty cough that I could not get rid of. On of the kids nurses told me to drink hot water with 1 Tablespoon  Honey and 1 Table spoon Lemon. It was my miracle drug. I lived off of it! Wednesday I was even worse and spent the day at home. Chris also woke up with a cold that morning. Friday was the first day Zak went to school! Friday night we tried a new formula for Callie and needless to say it ended with diarrhea.. which still has not stopped, yet slowed it has. Zak woke up this morning snot nose everywhere and a fever again. UGH, are we going to get a break. Nope... Chris now has the flu!

So in a nut shell, what a week. We have had every germ possible in our house.

Cirlces of Life

I was able to attend the Circles of Life Conference last Thursday and Friday in Milwaukee http://www.colwisconsin.org/ What a wonderful conference! The whole conference is about Special needs for all ages! This was the first year I was able to attend and I cannot wait until next year! There was tons on information and break out sessions for everyone - Parents, providers, advocates.. you name it and there was something to learn. Chris stayed at home with the kids and one of the nurses came with me. It was also fun to see the many of people that have educated us along the way. What a great few days!

I did come home with a nasty cold. It was probably time for me to get sick. It has been a good winter for me. Callie is just about over hers. I am hoping Zak does not get one, but I am thinking he is not to far behind. He just seems a little off this weekend and today.

Callie was into the clinic today as her eye lid is very red. They said she has a sty and also she has an ear infection. We had no idea. We are hoping it will go away on its own as she cannot have any antibiotics as she keeps getting c-diff... a nasty stomach bacteria that causes diarrhea. She sees the ENT on the 20th unless she get cranky before that. Tomorrow she goes to Madison for her follow up with pulmonology. watch for a follow up!
